Night Wander

Carried on wandering about the strip grabbing drinks and gambling on the way. Saw some sights. 

The TI pirate show has been retired and the water drained. 

Yard Ale

This is a posh sports bar we ate in when we walked up Lync. Craft beers are really taking off in America. We saw evidence of that in Key West and Miami too. 

What I loosed about this place, they offered a six pot taster. I went for the Belgum option.

The menu was extensive as was the draft selection. They made a feature of the 'celler' on the second floor. Impressive. 

We need a bar like this in Liverpool. 

Saturday Night On The Strip

Still a bit tired from Friday we just headed up stip for a wander.

Tram to Bellagio though the shops to Caesars. Over the road to the new hotel, The Cromwell which used to be Bill's gambling hall. Small seems posh but not busy compared to everywhere else. Lost $30 on a stupid slot machine and moved on. 

Though Flamingo to the Quad, used to be imperial palace. 

Next door is the new O'Sheas Irish party casino. It didn't disappoint. Plenty of drunk rednecks dancing around to the live band. The whooping and hollering here comes from the beer pong tables rather than craps. 

On next door to the Lync which is a new outdoor area - a street full of sports bars, pubs. Restaurants and shops. At the end is the high roller - the LV equivalent of the London Eye. The biggest / highest blah in the world.

It is in the middle of the strip but set back off a little I'm not sure the view would be that amazing. We might see later on in the week if we get board. 

Lazy Day..

After a late night we just sat by the pool. God it's hot. Pushing 40, not much respite from the breeze - that is like a hair dryer. 

It is the weekend so the pool was rammed. More people than water. The water Liquid was in full swing. We saw one casualty of the heat being pushed off in a wheel chair covered in towels.

We'll be back before the week is over.

Eddie came though with a contact to get us into XS and a couple of rounds of drinks. We got there early and not took the piss. Red Foo was on. - not until about 1am. 

We had a really good time.

Mustang

Obviously the car is a big part of our first week so it is worth a mention on its own. 

We went for a mustang cab, we have had a couple over the years, intresting to see how they have come on.

First road test was a couple of cones in the middle of lane 3. Jinking around them at 60 wasn't confidently done. They still handle like a boat. Which explains the big warning signs if there is a slight bend in the road.

We put 830 miles on it. 22mpg average. Just about got two cases in the boot. Can't see a thing out the back with the roof up. Had heated seats though. Just what you need in Florida.
