Picafort
Having a break from the buffet shuffle, we headed into Can Picafort for a change on afternoon.
Then it was time to pick somewhere to eat. While we had wifi, we picked number 3 Tapas from trip advisor which was 3 min walk away.
We couldn't find the dam place after walking round with hungry kids for 40 min so picked a random Hawaii restaurant. It was so so... Oddly had a separate hot chocolate menu!

All change
So for most of last week while George sleeps I have had to sit in the room and with it being east facing there is a lack of sun on our tiny balcony after 11.45.
Asked at reception if we could upgrade rooms, they said There may be a chance of swoping on Friday. Couple of conversations later and a bit of negotiations around which room was available and I now look at this while George sleeps 😃 will be a fight over who is in the hammock the most...

Happy george
Thankfully the little man is back to his happy self and having a great time in the pool. A two hour sleep late this afternoon probably means a late night for me 😞
Sunday, 24 July 2016
Morning routine.
The 'Can we go in the pool yet' carried on as soon as Jack woke.
Not allowed in the pool until the lifeguard starts work. It's Spain so that's 10am. All he could do was dip his feet in.
Soon as the life guard turned up he helped collect the pool closed signs and was in!
Poorly George
So our first full day and what shall we do. Rough night with George being really unsettled from 5am. So I am up with the boys and one of the first for breakfast. Jack sorted, feeding George and then he projectile vomits over himself, me, the table and the floor!!
Jack runs to another table to finish his breakfast, I have to go find a mop.... Back to the pool to try to keep Jack happy for George to throw up again. That's it, Phil is woken up and the remainder of the day for me is in the room with George asleep or sat on the couch trying to play. Good job your can't hear the noise.... George luckily is not a crying baby and today that's all he is doing. Typical being a Sunday there is no doctor on site today, he is back tomorrow at 12, we will be first in the q!
Buffet and.... Entertainment.
The restaurant is pleasant enough lots of space.. It doesn't seem busy. Which suits us fine!
The entatainment was a ropey Spanish clown followed by a quiz. The kid all look board and just ran about the grass.
Not a bad selection of drinks table service and glass glasses. Compared to last year was self service and you keep your one glass for the day.
Only mystery 'holiday beer' on offer... I'll eat my hat if I have a sniff of a hangover in the next fortnight.
First Impressions
Are good. Helpful staff rooms are ready and the place looks nice.
Rooms are ok. Clean and a reasonable size.
First order of business was food caught the pool bar just before it closed and they suspiciously served pizzas chips and burgers quicker than spoons on a Fish Friday. Wasn't bad.
After listening to 'can we go in the pool yet' for 2 hours, finally the kids got their wish.
Mega excited
Mum can I get in the pool, mum can I get in the pool and this continues forever, well at least for the whole of lunch!!!! Mega excited doesnt even come close!!!
Flight
Travelling with a small child I am always worried incase they kick off, George was amazing. Very happy little boy and even went to sleep without kicking off, and this let Phil go and stretch out in the extra leg room free seat so that George could spread out. Jack mega excited to be going on holiday and having the window seat (something I used to enjoy!) George managed to sleep right through getting off the plane and through customs. Couldn't get the buggy until the luggage claim and it was the longest walk ever!!!
Family of 4
So our first trip with George, priorities for booking this trip are a short flight time with the flights at a reasonable time and a family friendly hotel.
More toys and inflatables in the cases than clothes this time with weight still left in them although don't know how.
An early start to the airport (not for George and I, 5am is our normal start to the day 😵) a mega pick up from boots of baby milk and we are off to meet Gareth and Kate and the kids to board the plane.
Can Picafort
First time out the country in 2016...with a new family member this time!
Couple of weeks in the sun at the Viva Can Pickafort - Majorca with jet 2. In the summer holidays.
Because of the little one the days of trying on sunglasses in dutyfree and having a pint have been swapped for picking the milk order up and trying to get it in the hand luggage.
The transfer was longer than the flight last off the bus after a round the world trip. We hadn't factored than in to the eating stratigy.
