They do breakfast?

Last day, we saw the breakfast menu before jumping a taxi to the airport.

Would recommend the hotel. Just take your own iron and be prepared to wait for service at the pool bar.

And relax

Three days back to back takes its toll day in bed on Sunday and just a few quiet ones round the pool.

Stuck our heads in the Casino, which mildly busy but didn't have any atmosphere.

5 hours sleep before we have to checkout.

Repeat!

Second back to back session started with Mitch Winehouse joining the pool entertainment for a few songs before we headed into town.

Sunrise over the harbour.

Fridee in Marbs!

The afternoon descended into a drinking session as per and we didn't get into town until 1:15 to start the evening session.

Carried on right though in grog gang style and turned in after watching the sunrise from out balcony. Needless to say I didn't  need the ear plugs.

Second Day

Rolled out of bed later afternoon and went for a stroll around town. Started the Fez count, lot more kicking about now it's the weekend.

First Night

We managed to get half board at the hotel and the food was really nice!

Some entertainment setting up round the pool bar. And oh.. Look a Casino on the ground floor of the hotel.. Who'd have thought!

Short walk into Puerto Banus - ressession, what ressession!!

Although a distinct lack of Ferraris or Lambos?  Maybe they come out to play of a weekend?

Disaster struck johns loafer started to rub rather than sitting in a bar we got some duff info about a pharmacy and ended up making it 3 times worse.

Nearest 24 hour one is 3k away in San Pedro. As I write this I'm sat in a cab while Rocket waits in line at a hole in the wall for some plasters.

Mission accomplished, back to the hotel to lick our wounds and see what Chaz and Dave are up to.

Not quite a plan coming together!

Shut the friggin door!

Iron gate..

Spoke too soon about the hotel. No iron in the room, nothing to borrow. Just €6.50 per shirt/tee shirt plus a 24 hr delay.

So between us over 4 nights the expect us to drop €300 on ironing.

Cheaper to buy one. That's tomorrow mission..

H10

Good first impressions.

Hit the pool bar, few ales...

Then he's done.. It's only 17:00

So we get the lobster back to the room.

Lads Away!

Last chance before number two...

Out of Liverpool to Marbella, so no trying on sunglasses, it's taking photies of books to download to my kindle later.

Red sunrise as we board.

Sniff of the wine (according to the rules it's too early for larger!)

Wheels up!

Wrap up..

Really nice weekend although difficult to eat out. See you in ten years time folks!

For once scoot was parked up properly!

Kids crossbows...

The detail is like Disney - here is a model hare sleeping.

The Forrest is a red squirrel sanctuary.

Rude not to have a fire...

And a drunken sauna!

Take Away it is then!

If you want to eat out it seems you need to book your table with your holiday.

If you want an Indian at 7:30 you need to plan 12 months in advance.

Shut on Fridays, Saturday is fully booked. Currently in a sports bar (which is being renovated in peak holiday season)

Because half is shut people are sat round on the floor, can't use two of the pool tables because of the queue backing up from the bar.

God knows what this place is like in August.

Worst Food. Ever.

Dexters Kitchen here at Centre Parks. I don't know where to start moaning about this one. The over priced food? The cheap plastic cutlery? The red hot greasy under cooked chips? the tastless soft drinks? The brick of cheese in my cheese burger?

My advice - avoid.

Bike Hire

Not Abroad... But

No trying on sunglasses or 5am Burger King this time. Instead it was a quick toilet break at Burtonwood services on the way to Centre Parks near Penrith.

Collective birthday celebration again for another decade, this time fewer of us but kids in tow.

Heading Home

Last couple of days the sun stayed out and we got some frying time in.

The last day was a late flight, no late checkouts are available, so just used the showers in the spa block.

Hearded into the bus and just as we pulled up to the airport, the rep broken the news that the outbound aircraft was grounded in Menorca due two a lightening strike. They are sending two smaller aircraft from the UK but one would be two hours later than the other.

Gamble as to which flight you got put on,  and people who have paid to sit together etc might not be able to.

We got lucky on both accounts.

Something turned up anyway..

Then there is the stress of having cases overweight. Preparing to start putting clothes on we got though bang on the money.

Landed fine just waiting for the cases.. Hoping I'll see my car again...

Change Over Day

Load of new folk turned up last night. Heard people dragging cases round and excited kids in the pool.

This morning walking to breakfast there where families of white people covered in suntan cream stood around in the rain.

Breakfast was carnage, first day syndrome- plates piled high with as much food as possible having one of everything.

Here's the Problem...

The Calima.

Supposed to last another four days. basically this means no sun for us.

And a lot more of these..

Eating Out

Getting fed up with the routine we wandered out again. El Gaucho!

Impressive place both inside and out. Random drinks thanks no surprise as the waitress wasn't writing anything down, and her English wasn't great. She just brought beer and water - so long as is wasn't more bloody Tropical that'll do.

Steaks where big and bloody - that will be saying in my small intensive for the rest of my life...

After that we popped next door into the shopping entaitianment hub that is the previously mentioned Kasbah.

There where a few other people kicking about hardly rocking for August.
