Yet another commercial centre looking for ‘traditional’ bars with some entertainment.

Just a load of old people sat around smoking - so we headed back to Yumbo for a pint before the hotel for lasties.

Meloneras

Short bus ride along the coast, Meloneras is a breath of fresh air. 

Short walk along the front few nice hotels bars and a lighthouse. 

Back to CITA

So Liverpool as champions we headed out with a spring in our step back to CITA to have a few pints and live music.

Things had changed. No live music, no bother still have a few pints…. But no we are not allowed to sit in the bar. It was a bloody swingers bar, so couples only.

Anyways after a little persuasion they let us in..

Gin and Tonics before tea

Nice tradition, although Dad is fussy - single ice cube and he has to put his own tonic in, too much will ‘drown’ the gin. I just take it as it is. He looks at me with disgust, you know me I’ll drink anything, and pretty much have by the time he has finished messing about. 

Liverpool Crowned Champions

Back to CITA as planned to watch the footy. Small bar owned by a Dutch guy who smoked like a chimney..

Only eight people in the place, we were the only two from Liverpool, but the support was there. 

Comfortable win sees Liverpool win the league with 4 games to go.

CiTA

Lost cause by day, but at night pockets of lively bars.

Found one with a live singer so had a couple of pints where are cheap enough for us to come back to. 

Other bars for German karaoke no so appealing. 

Sports Bars..

We needed to find somewhere to watch the Liverpool game on Sunday so spent some time doing reconnaissance around all the depressing Comercial Cnetres in a two mile radius.

The plan was to get the Bach bus to drop us half way, but communication problems meant we ended up back at the bloody beach again.

Walking around for miles ended up in Yumbo by day popped into fiction for a two euro pint. 

First Night

Dad want impressed with the animation teams effort at entertainment- not wanting to watch that dancing and prancing left us with a decision..  free booze or a walk to find a bar and pay for ale. 

We caved and walked to the Yumbo Centre..  not quite mentally prepared, after wandering about we couldn’t find a suitable drag queen bar and left empty handed heading back to the hotel. 

Maybe next time. And of Day 1 - 19,000 steps. 

Day 1

Bit of sun bathing, walk down to the sand dunes, lunch then the bus to the beach.

Sat in the sun listening to an old Rock Band before walking back.
