Heading Home

A couple of hours by the pool and a few beers before we headed home. We kept one of the rooms in so we could all get showered and changed. Leanne and Natalie made it for the end of the trip as well.

Last night

We were all a bit tired after the night before and from the day. A quick drink on the patio and then off to bed. 

Bedouin Experience

We headed up the hill for dinner and some local entertainment. The food wasn’t great but the fire show that they ended with was really good. Then back into the taxi for the journey homes not sure if being in the dark through the desert was better or worse for what you could/couldn’t see.

We overthought the clothing we should wear massively, Aiming for sex in the city vibe… 

Desert trip

We pre booked a trip into the desert a set off in our regular taxi driving through the madness of the traffic. 

Some of the group were a bit apprehensive but me and Leanne were good to go and full throttle on the bikes. A drive through the desert and photo opportunity at the top. No pressure to tip and saw a dune buggy tipped on another trip.

Back to the hotel and the club again…. Another late one, with some sore heads the next day. 

The square by night

A very different experience at night. All the food trucks and restaurants are in the square and no monkeys or snakes which really surprised me. Half of it is boarded off as they are prepping for the African Cup and then then the World Cup. All was fine until we went through a very narrow busy bit and then we were fresh meat with hands being felt everywhere. But safety in numbers and we got through it.

After a short break by the pool, we are back to the market for dinner and a wander round. Lovely place to eat and drink and watch the sunset.
