The tuk tuk ride was brilliant, it would never happen at home due to h&s. Can understand why a lot of them wear face masks as the fumes in the traffic were terrible.
Got to the palace too late and it had closed, this is the only place we were hassled as tourists, very friendly touts would come and tell you everywhere was closed but their good friend (tuk tuk man) could take you round some of the other Buddha statues for a small price.
Once we got away we found the biggest buddha was open and in we went.
I am surprised by the number of monks walking around the city as well, they are on phones and in the shopping malls, I thought they lived a hermit style life and didn't use technology.
