Nessebar

Considered a ‘Day 11’ activity- one the Shinks didn’t want to participate in.

Small picturesque coastal town across the bay to wander around the shops and get something to eat.

The plan was to get the water taxi across from Sunny Beach Pier and the mini train back.

The water taxi was every 20 min, but after standing around with a bunch of other people for half an hour we didn’t see one so had to think of a plan B. Turns out, while the sea wasn’t too rough, the swell at the pier was a little too much for the boat.

We decided to get the mini train their instead - the one we found only went to the new town, not the old, but better than nothing we boarded.

At the new town Google was showing a 38min walk to old town still. It was approaching the hottest part of the day and after an unsuccessful negotiation with a horse and cart we found another train that does take us across the causeway to the old town.

Absolutely beautiful place. Wandered around the shops  looked at the buildings and views.

‘Stop picking everything up’ was order of the day, lots of negotiation about how the boys would spend their holiday money.

George choose a gun back in Sunny Beach and Jack an old zippo lighter from World War II. No idea if it was real, they guy had some authentic looking stuff. He would budge a penny on the price.
