Haven't We walked Down Here Before?

We walked 10k on the first day, further on the second and, didn't see much new past the first kilometre. 

Narrow streets, bridges, squares with a church. Repeat. 

Although there aren't two buildings the same the whole place is. Amazingly clean, no litter, fish in the blue canals. 

No cars, bikes are not allowed. Few trees bushes and green stuff. Pigeon central, they are fearless. 

Dark at night, but felt safe.  Not much of a visible police presence, even in the main tourist areas.
