As we return to some normality after Covid, air travel was still unreliable and we couldn’t risk encountering lengthy queues at security. So an early start for all as we made our way to Terminal 2 Manchester two begging a couple of weeks of TUI hospitality in Cancun.
As a little treat we took the upgrade option. The usual cynical side of me was dubious about the value for money jumping a few queues and getting lounge access.
No problems at security, we settled in the lounge. Fueled by eight sausages, with a mix of Amstel and Guinness, Martin lead the way as we headed to the gate.
Push back was an hour later than planned..
First time on a 787 Dreamliner, turning left instead of right when boarding doesn’t paint a true picture.
For the long haul the additional leg room is worth it, plus the little goodie bag. Staff and food was great, although a poor selection of films.
Starters..
Yes and he slept for most of the flight!
