Last Day

Been impressed wth Jet2 check in was good, lots of staff to help. Going home they offer a resort check in service. So we take our bags to reception at 7:15 get them all checked in and leave them with the rep, go get breakfast then all we have to worry about is hand luggage and the kids. 

At the airport it's straight though to the gate. In theory sounds great assuming we see our cases again! 

Get though security without really having anything checked. Nobody mentioned Georges Milk only to find the flight has an unspecified delay. More info at 12:20 (take off due 13:10). 

Accepting the delay we head to McDonalds and the slowest fast food ever. As soon as we get a bite the board is updated - we are boarding NOW!

We packed up the kids and ran across the airport. The food cart was jammed against the aircraft apparently and they just freed it. 

We lost our take off slot and sat on the runway for 30 min before push back. 

Sod's law the plane a couple in front reported a bird strike so the runway was closed for inspection. 

Finally we are off. On a shiny new 757 200..

Fingers crossed the car pick up goes smoothly.
